Farmers Market Fun

Check out my bounty from the farmers market! I had to head down to Denver to get my car worked on (warranty stuff) and realized it was the first Saturday of the Cherry Creek Farmers Market. None of the farmers markets are open up here for 2 more weeks, so I was stoked to check out what was available in Denver. The answer: not much. Mostly hawked goods, not many fresh veggies.

I scored a glass reusable water bottle, some broccoli, sweet peppers and herb starters.

I tried (somewhat unsuccessfully) to grow an herb garden last year. It was only bountiful for 6 weeks. But, if at first you don’t succeed, try try again!

I purchased/replanted:

Thai basil
Italian basil
Greek basil (do you think I like basil?)
Mint
Thyme
Rosemary
Sage
Cilantro
Dill

And for the veggie starters:
Cauliflower
Jalapeño Peppers
(most of what I’ll be planting I have to plant directly into my garden plot next week, seeds only, not starters)

My house smells AMAZING right now.

Oh, and I had a delsih green chile Papusa for lunch! Good days!
